Prague was, fabulous

I don't know if I have the tenacity or the stamina to finish this post now, but I'll try my best. I've been on many many trips my whole life (okay, i'm not one of those trust fund babies who just jump on a jet and go, but i've stepped on my fair share of aeroplanes) and all I can say is that PRAGUE is the BEST time I have ever had in my whole life. And I didn't have to wait till I was 21. HAHA. Anyhow, my camera alone took about 1300+ photos, and combine with the days I used cheryl's cam/alexis cam etc I am soo very sure my photo count has reached 2000. WHY so many photos? Cos I have no idea if I will ever live that moment ever again, so well as human as I already am, I try to preserve the best of it. As of now, I don't think anything can beat this trip and for now, I think what will beat it would be my first backpacking trip! :D

So, I am not gonna annoy anyone with a day-by-day, hour-to-hour thingy of my trip, cos we all know that is gonna be darn long. Instead I'm gonna give a run through, with the use of some visual aids!

Before we left for the airport, I had a huge urge for KOREAN, so we headed down to downtown east's "Fresh Bulgogi" restaurant. Yumyum much!


THEN it was off too...


So we met the other peeps at terminal 1 and well chatted and OBVIOUSLY camwhored!





AND SO WE CHECKED IN TO...



It was then the SAJChorale 2009 OFF TO.....


PRAGUE!

So up and on in the aeroplane, and a long thirteen hours that was!!






So then, we transited at Schipol Airport, Amsterdam!




And I had new plane buddies, CHAWWL and CHANS, on for a 2 hour flight to the CZECH REPUBLIC! :D





SO WE FINALLY ARRIVE AT PRAGUE!! :D




So we had a lovely bus ride to our hotel, and we end up staying at the Iris Congress Hotel, and we went around for a tour of the city, some beautiful churches - St Nick's Church, city centres, christmas markets, and everything, so for now, I'll let the pictures do the talking (TILL something important comes up of course.)

We got to perform at this church that we weren't even scheduled to perform in, y'know. The dude thought we were good, apparently, so he let us in the VIP area to take a pic of us. hahahaha :D

We won first place for Youth Category, and second for Adult folklore. We were seriously shocked shitless, since the other choirs sounded really really good! We had a post competition dinner/celebration after that, and for some reason we wore the SAJC uniform. hahaha.



AFTER all that we left with the South African Boulevard Harmonists (an a cappella ensemble) to sightsee and shift over to Cesky Krumlov, another town in Czech Republic. The traveling took a while, and we stopped over places like Tabor City, and like budweiser town (orsmthinglikethat.) to sightsee and shop, and whatnots! (:

We had loads of fun after, but of course, soon, we had to leave )):



Prague held loads of wonderful memories for the SAJChorale (and of course some forgettable bitter ones D:) but well, all in all, I really had a great time. We didn't even think we were gonna win, but we had DEFINITELY improved, bonded together as a choir, and seriously, winning was just a bonus! For now, I'm just happy that everything I was stressing about of choir in the past few weeks, hasn't gone to waste, and well, I am seriously sure that things are on the brighter side for our batch of choristers. :D

It was crazy - I was crazy, with my crazy bunch of friends; talking in stupid accents that DON'T even exist and well, learning new accents from the fabulous South Africans. Learning new things from other choirs, learning from mistakes, see the world from different perspectives; this trip for me was just... Life Changing :D It wasn't all good, I mean I had my bad days, returning to the hotel rooms cursing and swearing, and waking up early in the morning, lacking in any brain functions. But I wouldn't trade this experience for the world.

I'm just so proud of us all. SAJChorale really did great! :D

I've been spending more time with the choir peeps than anyone else in my social circle; not even my family, bff or anyone else gets to see me that often. Its weird, its like the choir peeps have become a new family, one that isn't perfect, one that fights and argues, one that laughs and cries together, one that is ONE. (i'm such a sappy-holic)

Though, no matter how hard I want life to just pause where it is right now, where life seems to be pretty perfect, it won't. I've still got a myriad of rubbish going on for me, mostly school related stuff like LUEs (something I am not prepared for at all). So enough said, you won't be seeing me online from now on, I'm on a fast (hahahah, not like i didn't already fast for like 30 days a few months back) from anything distracting, and I am gonna try to make it to J2, cos well, there's just too many things that I will be jeopardizing by not making it. If anything, I wanna at least have the privilege of choice when the time comes.

I can do it. OH, and do sms if anything is needed. I'm really busy as of now, and I'm prolly canceling appointments that is unnecessary as of now ): You gotta do, what you gotta do.
