Things have been so great the past 6 days.
Well, it was finally (after all that sweat, blood and tears) time for the premiere of The love of Three Oranges (TLOTO) at the Play Den @ The Arts House. It's really, in the words of Ms K: "It's magic". We checked in into the theatre on Wednesday, and rehearsed out butts off - I swear sometimes I feel burned out, to the max - like if I do well once, I might not do as well the next time - and we're just talking about rehearsing on its own. Being there at 8.15am, reaching home again at 10plus or later sometimes; tough work. But really, the company's great - the friends I've gained from this experience, I mean, I couldn't ask for anything more (: Theatre isn't easy; each performance is different - there are so many factors weighed, many variables - how another actor is performing that day, possibly affecting your performance, or whether the audience responds to you, how you're feeling that day, whether your morale is low or high, whether your best friend came or not - it kinda can affect your performance. Obviously, it shouldn't, but it just might. However, when push comes to shove, in the end of the day, watching all those people in the audience listen to you and are captivated by you, laughing at the right moments - you know it's ALL darn worth it (: I thank you guys for the fantabulous time - couldn't ask for ANYTHING more. Be it cast or crew, you guys make this few months way beyond worth it. Thanks for putting in effort, for bothering, and for doing everything you can to create art ~ with a dash of pizzazz and a little bit of old school goofiness, all blended together into a milkshake of comedic delight (: I love it like crazy... |
